PUBG maker releases trailer for zombie game
Chinese game developer Tencent has released a trailer for its new mobile game with a zombie theme. As per Twitter user ZhugeEX, the upcoming zombie game is set in an open world environment. The game may come with online co-op mode also. The title of the game hasn’t been confirmed yet. There have been several successful zombie games in the past like Days Gone, Left For Dead etc.
The trailer begins with a lone man riding his bike through different deserted landscapes in what seems to be a post-apocalyptic world setting. While moving through a forest at night with a blazing torch in his hands, he is attacked by a horde of zombies. The man is rescued by another party that has taken shelter in an abandoned warehouse. While the horde of zombies seems to be getting bigger and bigger with their numbers constantly swelling up, the besieged shore up their defences with obstacles that are kept charged with electricity and fuel tanks and take position atop a roof with guns. Here is how the trailer looks and what happens next.
Apart from PUBG, Tencent has also worked with Activision to develop the mobile version of Call of Duty Mobile. Tencent Games also acquired the Riot Games back in 2015, and had rejected the idea of making the mobile version of the game League of Legends which is an already popular RPG game on PC and other platforms.
Tencent and Riot are working on the mobile part of the game from more than a year now, and the game is expected to launch in 2019. However, neither Tencent nor Riot has confirmed on this information yet.
League of Legends is one of the most selling games from Riot in years and the company has been enjoying the success of the game from quite sometime now. Apart from this, the company has also launched several small arcade-style titles in the past few years.
