The UIDAI press release stated, “This can be done with the help of an Address Verifier and by sending an online request for an Address Validation Letter.” This service is useful for those who have recently shifted their residence. For this process, your Address Verifier can be a family member, relative, friend, landlord who is willing to let you use their address as proof.
The address can be updated if:
1. Both resident and Address Verifier have their mobile numbers registered in their respective Aadhaar.
2. Both resident and Address Verifier get the authenticated via One-Time-Password (OTP).
