NEW DELHI: Instant messaging app WhatsApp has rolled out a new sticker pack for both its Android and iPhone users. Called Opi stickers, the pack has been illustrated by Colombian artist Oscar Ospina

The new sticker pack features a white colour bear portraying different emotions and carrying various props. Notably, WhatsApp has rolled out the Opi sticker pack but before using it you will have to download it via the Sticker section within the app.

To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open WhatsApp

2. Tap on Sticker button

3. Find Opi stickers and tap on download button

Weighing 387KB in size, the Opi sticker pack includes 30 stickers. The same pack was introduced on Facebook in 2014.

To recall, Sticker support was rolled out in October 2018 for both iOS and Android users. Including Opi stickers, WhatsApp now offers 14 sets of Stickers including the pre-installed ones — Cuppym Salty, Komo, Bibimbap Friends, Unchi & Rollie, Shiba Inu, The Maladroits, Koko, Hatch, Fearless,, Banana and Biscuit. Apart from these, Android users also get the option to download more stickers from Google Play Store by tapping on the ‘Get more Stickers’ option at the bottom of the list.

Recently, it was reported that WhatsApp is working on rolling out animated stickers to its platform. According to a report by WABetaInfo, the social media channel that tracks the changes and upcoming features on WhatsApp, the animated stickers feature is not yet available but is being tested on multiple operating system versions — Android, iOS and Web.

As per the report, these animated stickers will be included in a stickers pack. “We can say the feature works very well, the support will be for third parties stickers too and it shouldn’t take a long time to be released for everyone,” said WABetaInfo.
